As some of u may know, we often engage in support work for Hyun Joong's activities, particularly streaming and download of his songs. Although his upcoming OST will not be up for any weekly music awards (coz OSTs are automatically not included), good rankings in the digital music sites are still nothing to be sneezed at + will be a good boost for our man while he's on hiatus. And some of you who had streamed previously would probably notice, some OSTs can top (and rule!) the charts. We are hoping we can do the same for Hyun Joong.

We are now in the midst of preparations especially since his OST release has been brought forward to midnight on Mon (Korean time), so we welcome contributions. What have you been busy with lately?

Hope this message finds you all well.

After a year of whirlwind activities, Kim Hyun Joong-ssi is seemingly on hiatus. 

Every one of us is anxious to hear any snippet of news about him. 

We wonder, we speculate, we blog, we tweet, we gaze lovingly at his pictures and rewatch old interviews...and then we wonder and speculate and tweet some more.

We know the agony of waiting. The suspense. 

And it is in this spirit of wanting to appease, somewhat, this 'insatiable hunger' for KHJ's news, that we share this with you:

A trusted source who is close to KeyEast has revealed to us that HJ is now busy taking acting lessons, not with just 1, but with 2 acting teachers.

The words said were: "He is working very, very hard..." 

Expectations among many of his fans are high for a new drama.

We know how HJ always pushes himself...and we know he doesn't want to disappoint us in his next undertaking.

At the same time, as we all know, HJ has talked about a new album sometime in June/July...and also possibly an album to be released in China (or a Chinese album).

However, the source mentioned that due to his preparations for this drama - the details of which are still fluid - there may be possible delays in his album release(s).

Having said all this, you can choose to believe or disbelieve this account, as we will not reveal who our source is.

But those who have followed us on our blog and on Twitter should know that we seldom, if at all, speculate. 

And we are not in the habit of spreading unfounded rumours or cooking up stories just to seem to be 'in the know'. That is just not our style.

Regardless of what you may choose to believe...we just have one thing to say:

Please be patient for Hyun Joong. As fans, we cannot dictate what he should or shouldn't do or when to do them. We can only support him and wish him all the best whenever we can.

And most of all, while we watch over him, we must believe in him too. 

So Hyun Joong is busy preparing and training himself so that he doesn't disappoint us when he meets us next.

To all our friends and would-be friends in the Henecia world, we hope that in this lull, you will be able to catch up with good friends, loved ones, studies, work...etcetera...

Q: What was the thing that caused you to laugh out loud recently?

KHJ: I watched "ondarusemu", which was a Korean comedy TV programme. I don't usually watch TV. I had just turned on the TV by chance, then a popular comedian, Mr Yu Se Yoon was imitating animals! It was so funny and I don't usually laugh out loud, but that time i couldn't help bursting into laughter.

Q: When did you cry recently?

KHJ: I won't cry at all even when watching sad movies. Because I would feel embarassed if friends saw me crying. I don't watch movies alone. (I don't usually cry but) I cried only on June 7th, last year. Tears were coming out without my noticing at the showcase in Seoul. That was the first event since I became a solo singer. But I didn't cry out, my eyes just got wet and tears dropped out a little bit.

Q: What was the thing that you got angry recently?

KHJ: Well, I haven't gotten angry recently. I don't always have the feeling of "anger", so I can't remember when and for what reason I got angry the last time. (I think) You get angry because your selfish needs aren't understood by other people. (But) Things won't change even if you get angry. So I think the clever way would be to try to solve the problem rather than getting angry.

Q: What would you do if you hadn't become an entertainer?

KHJ: I think I would hold a job related to music because I can't live without music. There're many kinds of jobs related to music even if you're not a musician, aren't there? Music exists among people. (For example) the ringtone of a cell phone is related to music... but my ringtone is always kept silent. I feel kind of embarassed if (my) cell phone rings.

Q: You belong to the entertainers' football team, "FC MEN". Which position are you good at?

KHJ: The position isn't fixed. For me, I will go on the attack when I'm feeling fine and play defense when I'm feeling tired, but I (usually) have the confidence to go forward. I don't know why but only that my feet are two-handed (ambidextrous - meaning he is equally adept in using both feet to score). I feel that's my benefit as I can shoot with both my feet. I don't attempt heading unless it's very important because there would be some problems if I am injured on the face. That's the fate of entertainers.

Former leader of popular Korean group SS501, the Korean artiste with the nickname 'Flower man' visited Shenyang yesterday and participated in the Liaoning TV Spring Festival Night's rehearsal. From the moment he alighted from the plane until his interview and then rehearsal, wherever he went, there were cheers and screams throughout; Kim Hyun Joong's popularity in Shenyang is truly amazing.

In accepting this paper's interview, he expressed that although it's the first time he was visiting Shenyang and the weather was very cold, but the passion of Shenyang fans made him feel warm at heart.

For the performance of the LNTV Spring Festival Night, he would be singing the title tracks of his two new albums:

"But this is just the 'tip of the iceberg'. Fans who like me will be seeing more exciting performances from me in 2012!"

Kim Hyun Joong, who was on his first visit to Shenyang, also learnt a little of the local dialect: "Lao bi le" - these three words when uttered from his mouth became "Lao bi lao", causing all the Shenyang reporters at the venue to laugh aloud - the words somehow sounded more powerful (from his pronunciation).

"Hello everybody, I am Kim Hyun Joong!" Just as he sat down, Kim Hyun Joong used Korean to greet the Shenyang media - the voice low and full of magnetism.

Kim Hyun Joong who is on his first visit to Shenyang, said that the deepest impression of his visit to Shenyang was the cold, but the passionate enthusiasm of fans wherever he went made him feel exceptionally warm at heart.

He said that although yesterday wasn't Chinese New Year, but because it was the recording of the Spring Festival night, he could deeply feel the rehearsal scene's festive atmosphere; "China and Korea will also be welcoming the Dragon Year, (so) hope the people of Shenyang will be healthy and spirited in the new year, will 'fly sky-high like the Dragon and leap about like the Tiger'. The translator accurately used idioms to express Kim Hyun Joong's greetings for the new year, winning a burst of praises from the media at the scene.

Kim Hyun Joong also said that despite having never visited Shenyang before, he already got to know that Shenyang has a 'Korean Street'.

"After the rehearsal is over, I will go eat some Korean food, as a treat to myself and the team of people who accompanied me all the way here."

First time to Shenyang, Kim Hyun Joong also did as the Romans and learnt some Northeastern dialect. In all seriousness, he learnt to pronounce "Lao bi le" three times, but what he pronounced eventually was still "Lao bi lao". Reporters at the scene were tickled because (while as) Northeasterners (they) understood, his pronunciation seemed to have made the phrase sound more interesting!

Last year was a year of prosperous development for Kim Hyun Joong's career: 2 albums, 1 television drama, and countless endorsement and activities had allowed Kim Hyun Joong's popularity, on leaving (or coming out from) SS501, not to decrease but increase.

He said that he was now moving towards the direction of developing himself as a versatile artiste, be it in style, singing, (or) acting, must not (remain) in the same category as he was a few years ago.

"I hope I can showcase the best of myself in this Spring Festival Night."

For this performance, Kim Hyun Joong will bring (to audience) the title tracks of his two albums from the previous year, 'Break Down' and 'Lucky Guy'.

He said that each time he came to China to perform, there would be a very sacred feeling.

"At the opening ceremony of the Guangzhou Asian Games last year, when I sang the theme song 'Sunshine Again' with Tao Zi and the other Chinese singers, the feeling was very sacred. Asia is like a big family and I as a foreign singer, to be able to stand on China's stage, really felt that life is beautiful. My visit to Shenyang this time is also the same. Starting the year recording for the Spring Festival Night in Shenyang is the brand new starting point of my career in 2012. I will definitely bring more surprises to everyone this year!"

He revealed that this year, apart from releasing a new album, filming a new film/TV work, the biggest 'surprise' is that he would be starting a concert tour in China this year.

"The stops that have been determined now are Beijing and Shanghai, now actively striving for Shenyang. There are many people who love Korean culture here (OKT: the phrase used refers to people who like all things Korean) and fans are very passionate. I believe that if the concert can take place, everyone will definitely spend an unforgettable night with me!"

On romance will not talk about 'getting married at 30' anymore

As a super-gorgeous man among Korean artistes, Kim Hyun Joong's romantic life has been a much-talked about topic among fans.

In the Korean variety show 'We Got Married' last year (OKT: The reporter got it wrong, it wasn't last year but in 2008), Kim Hyun Joong and female artiste Hwang Bo Hye Jung posed as husband and wife and the pairing was very compatible.

This caused quite a lot of female fans to be extremely jealous.

As to his ideal woman, Kim Hyun Joong said the quality he most value is 'sincerity'.

"Appearance, age - these are not a problem. Nationality is also not a problem because true love knows no borders."

In an interview many years ago, Kim Hyun Joong had said that he hoped that he would be married and have children by the age of 30, and when faced with this question again yesterday, Kim Hyun Joong's answer was quite different.

"When I said that last time, I was still far from 30, so (my answer) then could only represent the mindset of that age. Now, I feel that marriage should wait for the arrival of true love - it can be at 30, and it can be at 40, or it can even happen tomorrow - you never know; everything depends on fate."

The pressure faced by Korean artistes is usually not light and even for Kim Hyun Joong with his strong build, there have often been news in recent years about him falling sick or getting injured. On how to alleviate stress, Kim Hyun Joong said that when he was free, he enjoyed being with friends, meet up, chat, have a drink or two.

He also stressed that he could really hold his drink.

"My drinking ability is really quite okay. Last year, Chinese fans gave me some liquor with very high alcohol content. I finished it all in one gathering."

It was reported that hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong has great love for his fans.

Kim Hyun Joong will hold the first fan meeting of the new year on Jan 21.

This fan-meet will be ticketed but the admission ticket is only priced at 20,000 won.

If it was a small fan meeting, the admission could be free. However, Kim Hyun Joong's fan meeting will be held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, which is a  large scale venue and can hold more than 7,000 people.

Besides, unlike the usual talk-show style fan-meet, Kim Hyun Joong will sing more than 10 songs, including 'Break Down' from his 1st mini  album and the songs from the 2nd mini ablum, 'Lucky', at this fan meeting.  It is virtually the same as his solo concert. 

Other Korean singers who hold concerts at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium charge admission fees from between 50,000 won and 90,000 won. However the admission fee for Kim Hyun Joong's fan meeting is just 20,000 won and is less than half charged by other singers; the fan meeting is expected to rake in no profit at best, or even make a loss.

Kang In Suk, the director of music enterprise department of Kim's agency, Keyeast, explained that the fan meeting is virtually the same as a small-scale solo concert, but it was brought forward at Kim Hyun Joong's request. It will be a fan service and one that almost makes no money. 

This fan meeting was abruptly decided to be held. The fan meeting for  Korean fans was arranged as the first schedule (activity) of 2012 because Kim Hyun Joong didn't want to make his Korean fans disappointed by his new year's promotion in Japan.

Kim Hyun Joong's love for his fans is more than just this. One company suggested large amounts of money to promote its product at his fan meeting, but it was refused. The director Kang said it was because Kim  Hyun Joong insisted he could not possibly make his fans spend their money for his own interests.

Kim Hyun Joong has been famous as an idol singer with his unique manners and opinions since he started as a member of SS501. Kim Hyun Joong never lost his own unique colour of character and it shows in his great love for fans who (are believed by Kim to) make him the person he is today.

Director Kang praised Kim Hyun Joong and said that from the point of view of the agency, which needs to pursue practical interests, it would leave much to be desired, but as a 'man', he is great. 

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Kim Hyun Joong secretly donated $100,000 to the Red Cross and an organization that passes out briquettes. Compared to other celebrities who would use the small amount of donation as a massive self-promotion, Kim Hyun Joong's step is admirable.

As for the head of Kim's agency and the father of Hallyu star, Bae Yong Joon, Kim Hyun Joong's actions is probably going to make Bae tear up for making the agency spend money for Kim's fans.

Kim Hyun Joong totally rocked the Springs Cocoon Shenzhen Bay Stadium yesterday night in the "Very Perfect" 2011 Shenzhen Concert. The main features of the programme were supposed to be the 4 heavy-weights female artistes of the Chinese music industry...but...Kim Hyun Joong proved he was the KING of the night.

Someone remarked that Chinese Sina Weibo was also in a frenzy yesterday, with many non-fans getting a speed-up lesson on who this mysterious blondie is. She said:
"One of the hottest phrase being tweeted was: 'Who is Kim Hyun Joong?' (金贤重是谁). Because he turned the concert of various stars into a personal concert; the stadium's 50,000 people were all HOLD (read: captivated) by him. At the venue, his fans were the loudest, the brightest and the most supportive. When Kim Hyun Joong came on stage, many people wondered why the scene suddenly became so high. This is because he is Kim Hyun Joong."
There were many interesting tweets from non-fans who were shocked and surprised by this mysterious Korean superstar. Just to pick one from @夏沫-Sabrina, who tweeted: "The legendary Korean flower boy...The whole stadium is heated to a boiling point because of him. The 90's girl beside me could actually fall asleep when Mother Kwan (Shirley Kwan) was singing. (But) just as Kim Hyun Joong appeared, she came alive and kept shouting Obba, Obba. At that moment, the 90s kids had all gone crazy. I'm beginning to feel I'm old now."

We didn't manage to follow him to the first outlet, but we managed to catch the Prince at the 2nd venue...where there was also a charity auction, product launch and a fan-signing for 100 lucky shoppers, as well as pic-taking with 10 top-TFS-spenders.  

Briefly:

Just after HJ visited the Times Square outlet on the 1st floor, all reporters and fans ran, literally RAN, downstairs to the stage area that was set up outside the huge main entrance of Times Square. 

However, before HJ even show up yet on stage, and while the atmosphere was charged with anticipation, the MC suddenly kick-started the charity auction, taking many fans aback. 

Hence, at first, the reaction to the auction was like... >,<... as fans were waiting for HJ to show up first!

But luckily, just as HJ was about to show, an Iranian girl bid RM3,000 for his autographed-cardboard standee...Then the knee-protectors were also quickly auctioned off for RM2,000.

When HJ came on-stage, he immediately met them and took pics with them. Then the MC joked about maybe getting one more personal item from HJ for the auction, and fans indicated his earring, so HJ immediately offered it...but it was an expensive pair...but the MC observed that it was an expensive pair, with some precious stone or something. So she quickly said it was okay and said maybe next time, when HJ is wearing a less expensive pair. ^^

Generous as HJ was, I think she didn't want to push it. Which is only fair. Also, HJ might be wearing a sponsored piece, who knows? LoL*

After the auction, HJ launched the BB Power Perfection Cream. He turned left, centre and right with his charming smile...everywhere he turned, all eyes followed. hehee..

Then the pic-taking (where almost EVERYONE of the 10 got a hug from him!) and autograph session started. One fan went up with her little girl and plonked her on the table in front of HJ...then the little girl said shyly, 'Saranghe', to our namja! Of course HJ smiled happily in return! Sadly, coz I was busy tweeting the updates from the scene, I was unable to catch a pic of this! *sigh*

One of the last few fans who went up were TS Malaysia peeps...and one of them was also a pregnant mother...and when HJ knew that she was pregnant, he immediately wished for her that she would bear a cute and beautiful baby. *soooo sweet!*

Just before the event ended, it was announced by the MC that a fan topped up RM1,000 to the charity event which the auction was in support of that day...and the generous fan, whom we later got to know was @FaraBelle, got called onto the stage by HJ himself...and GOT A HUG from him! T_T....So jealous... LoL! but..DAEBAK girl! =)

So with TFS topping up another RM5,000, altogether, the charity auction raised RM11,000 that day - not bad, considering what a muck-of-a-job the MC made of it at first. LoL*

Yeah...this is what some have dubbed as the Kim Hyun Joong BB Cream~he just launched it in Malaysia on Monday. Over a million pieces have been sold already in Korea!

Such a happy smile!! *melted*

The girl next to HJ won his card-board standee for RM3,000 during the auction, while the other took home a pair of knee-protectors he had worn in some footie for RM2,000. Congratulations!

Then, it was the launch of the BB cream,
that seemed so much like an advert photo-shoot *LoL*

Fan-signing started. Many fans love to bring their children to meet U:zoosin...
Sometimes it almost seemed like they're seeking his blessings. LoL*

Looking at him through the camera lens just 

isn't the same as looking at him with your own eyes...
